All Roads Lead to Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic as Abia Arise Unveils Mega Rally Plans

The stage is set for what promises to be one of the largest political gatherings in Aba North Local Government Area as the Abia Arise movement has intensified preparations for its highly anticipated Mega Rally scheduled for tomorrow, Monday, August 3, 2026.

In a mobilisation message issued ahead of the event, the leadership of Abia Arise, Aba North LGA expressed appreciation to ward and chapter coordinators for their commitment and tireless efforts in ensuring the success of the rally ahead, expressing confidence that their sacrifices would yield remarkable results.

The rally, which will take place at Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic (formally, Abia State Polytechnic) Aba, is expected to bring together members, supporters and lovers of the Abia Arise movement from across the local government in a massive show of solidarity for the vision of the New Abia under His Excellency Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR.

Organisers have directed that every participant must appear in the official Abia Arise T-shirt and face cap, stressing that there will be no exceptions.

According to the mobilisation plan, Brass Junction has been designated as the final convergence point, where participants are expected to assemble by 10:00 a.m. before marching together to the venue of the rally.

To ensure an orderly movement, different wards have been assigned strategic assembly points across Aba North. Wards 8, 10 and 11 will gather at Opobo Junction by 8:00 a.m. before proceeding to Bata Junction to join other supporters. Wards 1 and 2, alongside their chapters, are also expected to converge at Bata Junction before moving to Brass Junction.

Similarly, Wards 6, 12, 9 and 5, together with their respective chapters, will assemble at Samek Junction, proceed to BTC, and thereafter join the larger procession heading to Brass Junction. Wards 7, 4 and 3 will converge at BTC before joining the coordinated march.

The leadership called on all members to arrive early, comply with the movement guidelines and participate peacefully in what is expected to be a colourful demonstration of unity and support.

The mobilisation notice was signed by Dr. Azu Kalu (Rev.), Secretary of Abia Arise, Aba North Local Government Area, on behalf of the Aba North Coordinator, Amb. Kenneth Emelike, who urged members to remain committed to the movement’s vision and ensure the rally records resounding success.
