Davido’s Associate, 43-Year-Old Nigerian Influencer Igho “Tiny” Ubiribo Dies After Penis Enlargement Procedure in Thailand
Wealthy British-Nigerian businessman and social media influencer Igho “Tiny” Ubiribo, also known as Denisi or Ego, has died at the age of 43 after undergoing a penis-enlargement procedure during a luxury holiday in Thailand with his wife, Danielle Simba Allen.
The circumstances surrounding Ubiribo’s death were revealed during an inquest at Inner West London Coroners’ Court, where evidence indicated that the cosmetic procedure was followed by a fatal pulmonary embolism.
According to evidence presented at the hearing, Ubiribo had 40ml of hyaluronic acid and lidocaine injected into his penis at an unnamed clinic in Thailand in March. The procedure was subsequently linked to the medical emergency that claimed his life.
Following the treatment, Ubiribo and his wife reportedly returned to their Marriott hotel in Bangkok, where they went for a massage. It was shortly afterwards that he began experiencing serious health complications.
Ubiribo reportedly complained of chest pain before collapsing twice. He was subsequently rushed to Sukhumvit Hospital for emergency treatment.
Although he was initially conscious upon arrival, his condition deteriorated rapidly. He later lost consciousness before doctors could carry out a recommended CT scan to further assess his condition.
Medical personnel diagnosed him with a pulmonary embolism and transferred him to intensive care. Despite extensive efforts to save his life, including more than 100 minutes of cardiopulmonary resuscitation, Ubiribo died in the early hours of March 6.
A subsequent postmortem examination conducted in the United Kingdom provided further insight into what may have caused the fatal complication. The examination reportedly found cellular material in his lungs that matched the hyaluronic acid used during the cosmetic procedure.
After reviewing the evidence surrounding his treatment and subsequent medical emergency, Coroner Jean Harkin concluded that the penis-enlargement procedure had caused the pulmonary embolism that ultimately led to Ubiribo’s death.
His death has since drawn attention to the potentially serious complications that can arise from cosmetic procedures, particularly treatments involving injectable substances and procedures car
ried out abroad.
