“I Am Bigger Than Peter Obi“ — Human Rights Activist, Deji Adeyanju Claims, Says He Went To Prison For Democracy
Human rights activist and social commentator Deji Adeyanju has declared that he is “bigger than Peter Obi,” citing his years of activism, imprisonment and alleged survival of multiple assassination attempts.
Adeyanju made the claim while highlighting what he described as the sacrifices and risks he has endured in his fight for democracy and human rights.
According to him, his activism has come at a significant personal cost, including spending time in prison for democracy and surviving what he claimed were more than 17 assassination attempts.
Comparing his record with that of former Anambra State Governor and Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi, Adeyanju maintained that the experiences and achievements he has recorded as a human rights activist place him on a different pedestal.
“I am bigger than Peter Obi. The things I have achieved in my life as a human rights activist, he can never achieve them,“ he said.
His statement is likely to generate reactions, particularly among supporters of Obi, who regard the former governor as one of Nigeria’s prominent opposition figures and a major political voice.
