ASUBEB Extends Bid Opening for 2024/2025 UBE Intervention Projects to August 19
The Abia State Universal Basic Education Board (ASUBEB) has extended the bid opening date for the ongoing procurement process for the implementation of the 2024 and 2025 Universal Basic Education (UBE) Intervention Projects.
The extension, announced in an official addendum signed by the Executive Chairman of the Board, Mrs. Lydia Onuoha, shifts the exercise from its earlier scheduled date of Wednesday, August 5, 2026, to Wednesday, August 19, 2026.
According to the Board, the bid opening ceremony will commence at 12:00 noon at the Conference Room of the Abia State Universal Basic Education Board (ASUBEB), Umuahia, where prospective bidders are expected to participate in the transparent procurement process.
ASUBEB further clarified that the postponement affects only the date of the bid opening, stressing that every other bidding guideline, eligibility requirement, and condition contained in its earlier Invitation to Tender remains unchanged.
The Board noted that the original advertisement was published in the Punch, Vanguard, and National Ambassador newspapers of July 6, 2026, and urged all interested bidders to continue to comply with the previously outlined requirements.
While expressing regret over any inconvenience the rescheduling may have caused, ASUBEB appealed to all prospective bidders to take note of the new date and make the necessary adjustments to ensure their participation in the exercise.
